Phone TV DSL Bundled Services & Package Deals

Who isn't enticed by low telephone, television, and Internet rates? Not to mention the convenience of having all of those services on one bill. Before you dart for the phone to call that 800 number and order that amazingly cheap and convenient service, you may want to take a look at the fine print.

Admittedly the deal appears great, but did you forget who it is your dealing with? The giant of all giants in telecom is in no way going to give you something for nothing. When you begin to dig a little deeper you'll see this phone TV DSL deal is not what it's cracked up to be, unless of course you like contracts.

Let's face it, we get what we pay for. Sure, DSL for under 15 bucks sounds great if you like surfing the web at the speed of snail. What happens when you need faster Internet service? The phone service with this package is pretty basic and you're going to be stuck with it or pay extra for upgrades.

Each year you'll have to decide if you want to renew your contact and if you forget, they'll go ahead and renew it for you. How thoughtful. Are you going to remember the anniversary of your phone TV DSL contract? But hey, what's a couple hundred dollars to break the contract for a better deal or because your circumstances have changed?

The whole point of this is not to scare you away from one of these package deals, but to get your attention and show you there is something better. Much better. The telcos aren't to only ones rolling out package deals. You may not even be aware your local cable company may be offering phone TV and cable broadband on one bill as well.

The advantage to going with your cable company for bundled services is, yes, that's right, no contracts! I can't speak for every cable company, but in most cases your cable company will not make you sign a contract for service. This way you can switch and or upgrade services with no headaches, not to mention the price is right.

If you're a frugal person you can even go one better, and get all of these services for a fraction of the cost of both aforementioned services. If you must have everything on one bill, by all means do so. If you are looking to save money without sacrifice to quality, try bundling your own services.

Depending on what is available in your area, you could be getting unlimited local plus long distance phone service, digital television service and broadband Internet for around 60 dollars a month. Just a few minutes of research could literally save you hundreds of dollars a year while still getting top notch products.

Specifically speaking, Dish Network now offers satellite TV service for the regular everyday price of $19.99 a month. Packet8 VoIP phone service is cheaper than Vonage at only $19.99 a month for unlimited local and long distance calling including Canada. It's even possible to get broadband Internet as low as $19.99 a month depending on your service location.

The prices on high speed broadband Internet may vary by about 20 to 25 dollars. You can also get VoIP for as little as 10 dollars a month if you don't need unlimited long distance. Even if you pay 45 dollars a month for broadband, you're still getting all three services for around 85 dollars a month.

If you're looking for a good price on phone, television and Internet service, just roll up your sleeves, get out your calculator and take about 15 minutes to look around and see what's out there. Chances are you'll be surprised by how much money you can save this way plus get exactly what you want.
